Academic lecture (Julien)

Academic lectures are different from everyday conversation because they have a different target audience market and use different vocabulary. Firstly, people are facing scholars in similar fields when they have an academic speech, so they use a lot of jargon or subject specific to have a lecture. However, everyday conversation is a general way of communication. People can use more different types and general words to express, which means that academic lectures are harder than daily conversation to understand. In addition, they use a different vocabulary to communicate from different places. For example, people usually give a speech on some solemn occasion, so the vocabulary they use will be more formal and academic, but many people can use informal words in daily conversation anywhere. Therefore, this is why the different target audience market and vocabulary make academic lectures different from everyday conversation.
