Letter


Dear Albert,
My name is Mengqi Su whom an international student from south of China. I am the eldest child in my family with other two siblings. My sister is going to achieve the degree of Master in England, and my little brother is going to enjoy his university life few months later.
I prefer to be called Sugar as an easier way for three mainly reasons. Firstly, the surname “mengqi” is the pronounce of my surname is like Monchi which is hard to pronounce for people who does not speaking Mandarin; Thus, I decide to have a name that easy to say it out and remember. Moreover, my nick name is sounds as “sweet”, and most of my friends call me “su/ger” which means Brother Su in English.
The main reasons I make up my mind to come to New Zealand 4 years ago because I love the atmosphere here. I am keen on travel, in addition New Zealand famous as it is an attractive place to be chosen. The planning that I have made is join into the trips during the leisure time, regardless I could say I had completed a bulk of the list. Nevertheless, I completed Hospitality Management Level 5 and Level 6 at New Zealand Management Academic, since the period of internship I am one of the employees in Skycity Casino as a food and beverages attendant. In the interim I am only focus on improving theoretical knowledge so far.
Lask week prior to coming back to Auckland, I have been invited to have a 21th birthday party in my hometown. The event was holding on a private farm in the edge of city centre which is sort of a circumstance that is uncommon. It more similar as a private-tiny zoo because there are several of animals are rear livestock in pens. Part of them are growth by eaten such as black pigs, sheep, soft-shelled turtles, special turtles; additionally, others for view and admire barely, such as peafowls, deer and ostriches. All of them are to intimate terms with people.
Furthermore, I would like to describe myself as a “strange person” because I have significant character of Gemini that changeability.  From time to time, I am interested in a great many of matters, loves to hang out with friends; despite that I prefer to be a couch potato without any activities merely in a world of my own.
Besides, as I mentioned above that I am interested in travels, meanwhile cooking and face-painting. Travel is a method to reduce the stresses from daily life that forget the tough parts to enjoy the rare freedom. For cooking I have a strong disposition to share this performance to others that I would like to make people who are loved by me feeling well-being. Nonetheless, makeup is an absorbing magic for me, the factor is people could change their appearance according painting on the face if they are holding the grateful skills. Thus, I will make a systematic improve of it.
In conclusion, I might not the perfect person, but people are progress day by day as I am. I will never move earth whether I have a place to stay or not, nevertheless I will show how better I can be if I have a chance.

The Bridge ( Hoang Do )

This is short story about a woman’s death with five culprits which are the woman, her husband, her lover, the soldier and the boatman. On the one hand , the woman in this story is an immoral and unethical woman because she broke the vows with her husband. For example, the woman took a lover who lived across the bridge on the other side of the river meanwhile her husband had to go away for three months. On day, she heard that her husband was coming with her, therefore she left her lover to came back home. However, the soldier did not let her through the bridge, he told her that he would shoot her if the woman tried to cross the bridge. Moreover, she asked the boatman nearby the bridge for take her cross the river, but the boatman wanted $100 from her to do that. On the other hand, she asked her lover who destroyed her family’s happiness for money, but he refused. Finally, she tried to cross the river and she was shot by the soldier, that is result of the traitor.

Brazil a father and a son

Today, we had read a story about one of Brazil lottery winner nearly murdered by his father. The father was planning to kill his son because of $16 million jackpots. This story made me think about which are essential to our life? Money or blood relationships? Which one needs to be blamed?  In my opinion, the father needs to be criticized than his son because of his illegal decision and immoral actions. Firstly, from a legal point of view, whether the son kills or not, his father’s behavior which he hired two killers to kill his son have committed a crime. As everyone has the right to live, nobody’s  life can be deprived arbitrarily by someone else. Even they are a blood relationship. Secondly, the father disregards moral values. In this case, the father put money above everything, even the life of his son. This is selfish behavior.
