the Brazilian father and son (Brittany)


There are two controversial issues in this story which talk about the father want to kill his son. Firstly, life and money, which one is the most crucial to people? In the story, the father planned to murder his son in order to get the whole reward. Therefore, the money is the most important for the father. However, on the other hand, if the son allowed his father keeping the money, his father would not want to kill him. Thus, the son has the same believe as his father, they were both put the money in the highest position in the life. In addition, maintaining a well family bond is the responsibility of every family member. If the son shared the reward and keeping a harmonious relationship with his father, there would be a better ending of the story.

    Hi Brittany,
    Your opinion is interesting, but I do not think so that his father wanted to get all the money. If his father was fine to share the money, he would ask his son first. However, he did nothing for sharing the money.

      Thank you for your comment and shared your opinion with me. I think that is another situation, if the father and the son have a well family bone, the father maybe was fine to share the money. However, the father wanted to get all the money, that was a strong evidence that the money is the most important in his life.

      Yes, maybe the father had some extreme difficult problems, such as serious disease, usurious loan, so he adopted an extreme approach to get money.

On day, she heard that her husband was coming with her, therefore she left her lover to came back home. However, the soldier did not let her through the bridge, he told her that he would shoot her if the woman tried to cross the bridge. Moreover, she asked the boatman nearby the bridge for take her cross the river, but the boatman wanted $100 from her to do that. On the other hand, she asked her lover who destroyed her family’s happiness for money, but he refused. Finally, she tried to cross the river and she was shot by the soldier, that is result of the traitor.

Brazil a father and a son

Today, we had read a story about one of Brazil lottery winner nearly murdered by his father. The father was planning to kill his son because of $16 million jackpots. This story made me think about which are essential to our life? Money or blood relationships? Which one needs to be blamed?  In my opinion, the father needs to be criticized than his son because of his illegal decision and immoral actions. Firstly, from a legal point of view, whether the son kills or not, his father’s behavior which he hired two killers to kill his son have committed a crime. As everyone has the right to live, nobody’s  life can be deprived arbitrarily by someone else. Even they are a blood relationship. Secondly, the father disregards moral values.
